SLUMP is a random level generator created by Sam Trenholme. It is a fork of SLIGE aimed specifically at Freedoom. It was first released on May 22, 2005. Its final release was on October 29, 2007, after which it was discontinued. Sam stopped working on SLUMP when OBLIGE was released which he saw as a more advanced generator.[1]

  • SLUMP 0.001 was released on May 22, 2005. It is the first release.
  • SLUMP 0.002 was released on May 23, 2005.
  • SLUMP 0.002.01 was released on May 24, 2005.
  • SLUMP 0.002.02 was released on May 25, 2005. This version is the first to be GPL-licensed.[2]
  • SLUMP 0.002.03 was released on May 29, 2005.[3]
  • SLUMP 0.002.04 was released on May 30, 2005.[4]
  • SLUMP 0.003.01 was released on June 9, 2006.[5]
  • SLUMP 0.003.02 was released on October 29, 2007. It is the final release.

License[edit]

Starting with version 0.002.02 SLUMP is licensed under GPLv2 but with two additional requirements when making a derivative of it:

  • David M. Chess, creator of SLIGE, needs to be informed about it;
  • it should not be called "SLIGE".
