STR17: Slaughtered is the seventeenth map of Stronghold: On the Edge of Chaos. It was designed by Gianluca Cilento (Remmirath) and uses a custom music track.

This level uses the "Core" mode, where the objective is to prevent monsters destroying a computer core.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

You start in a circular red passage that contains all four item pads; the core is across a bridge behind you. A chamber containing a shotgun and a box of shotgun shells can be found in the center of this passage; north of this chamber is a window that you can drop through to reach the floor below, along with a jump pad to help you restock between waves.

Monsters will initially spawn from a cavern at the north end of the level, then head south until they reach the jump pad; they will then head east or west before climbing a slope to the circular passage. From wave six monsters will also start spawning from a cavern in the north-west corner, and from wave eight they will also spawn from a cavern to the north-east; in both cases these monsters will head due south to reach the slopes up to the circular passage.
