Sarge's Big Game Hunt

Sarge's Big Game Hunt is a minigame which occurs in the 2005 original version of Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil. Like Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3 before it, it is one of several Nabcon arcade games that occur throughout the Mars City complex. It stars the late Sergeant Thomas Kelly firing a rocket launcher at bears suspended by helium balloons. A single-player form of artillery game, the trajectory and force applied to the shot must be adjusted (using sliders on the left side of the screen) to compensate for randomly varying wind (indicated by a meter to the lower right). Each level of the game has a time limit during which all the bears must be successfully dropped. The goal is not to shoot the bear itself, but rather to pop the balloons holding it up - doing this causes the bear to die with a loud moan when it hits the ground. The game seems to have no limit on levels completed and will continue as long as the player desires.

There is only one copy of Sarge's Big Game Hunt, which can be found in Sarge's office in Erebus - Level 3: Erebus Labs.

Sarge's Big Game Hunt, along with all other unique Resurrection of Evil minigames, was removed from Doom 3: BFG Edition, and has not been present in any other version of Doom 3 released since (all of which have been based on it).
