Sentinel Barracks

Sentinel Barracks is the fourth level of Doom: The Dark Ages. King Novik receives a distress signal from Deag Loric mentioning Prince Ahzrak’s desire to acquire the Heart of Argent; when the city of Cantoth comes under attack from Hell’s forces, the Doom Slayer is assigned to protect the barracks while Novik’s forces converge on the priest’s location.

The lost soul and vagary are introduced as enemies in this level. The pulverizer and impaler are introduced as weapons. This is also the first level to include rubies and combat challenges.

"With the transdimensional barrier destroyed, King Novik awaits Prince Ahzrak’s next move."

Lore[edit]

Cantoth is the sister city of Exultia, renowned for training the fiercest Sentinel warrior legions. The Sentinel Barracks stand at the heart of the city, housing the Argent Enclave where Sentinel clans convene. Across the valley is the Drakhelm where dragons are raised and trained for battle. Sentinels embark on a pilgrimage through the mountains to reach Cantoth and prove their resolve. Only the most decorated knights can bond with a dragon and join the Order of Aerum, a mounted unit that soars into battle.
