E1M4: Colosseum is the fourth map of The Wayfarer. It was designed by Not Jabba and uses the music track "".

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

Enter the colosseum and head north to a room with crates. Use the torch on the west wall to lower a wall leading outside. This area has Crystal Vials and Morph Ovums. (sector 2883)
Climb the crates in Secret #1 all the way to the top and look northeast. Shoot the switch to lower the bars there, then head that way. You can find Timebombs of the Ancients and a Quartz Flask if you check the area to the south, and if you take the teleporter, you can find a switch that lowers the bars to Secret #4. (sector 2610)
Go through the southwest hall in the colosseum all the way to the east. Go to the northeast corner and use the ring on the wall to reveal a teleporter. Take it to enter a courtyard with a Mystic Urn. (sector 2810)
If you used the switch mentioned in Secret #2, the bars to the right of Secret #3 will be open. Go there to get a Hellstaff, a Bag of Holding, and Greater Runes. (sector 2833)
In the big room at the north end of the colosseum, head to the north wall near the middle and find a brick that juts out. Use it to obtain it, then head east to the damaged wall and place the brick in. This lowers the wall next to that one, which has a Map Scroll. (sector 3345)
At the northeast hall, head all the way south and behind the bloody room where the Lesser Chaos Serpent is. Use the north wall on that room and head back to the hall before. The inner room is open, with Flame Orbs and a teleporter back to the room with Secret #3. (sector 207)

Bugs

Six nitrogolems (Things 372, 375, 378, 381, 384 and 387) have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so they do not actually appear in the level.
