:: no vanilla doom supported midi files directly   There was a recent forum thread about this at Doomworld, believe it or not.  I'll see if I can find it.    Ryan W 03:44, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
:: [httphttps://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-editing/38486-writing-music-for-a-doom-wad/ This] isn't the one I remember reading, but it (and the links people posted) appear to address the issue.    Ryan W 04:22, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
:: My own experimentation has shown that it is possible to put MID files into Vanilla Doom directly. However, it only works on certain files; some files don't play. I haven't been able to determine what the exact criteria is for what works and what doesn't, except that large files won't play. Fraggle 07:51, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
