Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

You start this map in a small room full of cacodemons and lost souls. Don't alert them and carefully backtrack and exit the room. If possible, try to make them fight each other. The rest of the spiral goes up through a series of stairs and is full of shotgunners. Eliminate them to get ammo. As you go up you will pass a platform, pay attention to the activation sound and backtrack to reach it. The platform will take you to a corridor with skin textures. Right at the entrance where you just passed, there is a door on your right. Open it to get the blue key.

Continue to the bottom and you will enter a dark room. Just in front of the door is a misaligned texture. Activate it to get mega armor and lower the platform to the demon room, where the yellow key is. Once you have it, go back the way you came and wait for the elevator to get to the blue door area.

Follow the path down the stairs. Ignore the teleporters. Follow the corridor until you reach the outside of the map. You will find a platform surrounded by imps. On the platform you will find the rocket launcher. Once you pick it up, a door will open behind you, revealing a baron of Hell. Behind the baron is a fake midtexture. Cross it and press the hidden yellow door. Follow the acid path to the bottom and you will find an elevator to the north, which takes you to the final room. Go up and simply press the switch to end the map.
