The static cannon.

The static cannon (also known as the static rifle) is a weapon that appears in the 2016 Doom game in multiplayer and SnapMap modes. Powered by static electricity, the static cannon is a slow-firing beam rifle which, in addition to using typical ammunition, has batteries which are charged by the player's motion - the player must sprint to increase the weapon's charge level and attack power. When standing still, the weapon's charge will slowly drain. It has been compared by PC Gamer journalists to a no-scope sniper rifle requiring on-the-move accuracy.[1] Its modified firing mode allows a zoomed in view for long-range sniping.
