Stimpack

From DoomWiki.org

A stimpack found in an alcove in TNT: Evilution MAP08: Metal.
Two stimpacks in a corner in Doom 64 MAP14: Eye Of The Storm.

A stimpack is an item that appears as a small white (in Doom and Doom II) or brown (in Doom 64) box with a red cross. Picking one up will increase the player's health by 10% up to a maximum of 100%.

Stimpacks are not included in the items percentage displayed at the end of each level.

According to the Doom instruction manual, the stimpack heals the player via "a quick injection of booster enzymes."

Other versions[edit]

In the Xbox 360 and BFG Edition versions of the IWADs, the cross graphic is replaced with a red-and-white pill. This is due to the red cross symbol being protected under a treaty which disallows use in commercial products.

In the Doom Classic Unity port as well as Doom + Doom II, the cross has been restored but is now green.
