Syringe (syringe.wad) is a seven-map minisode for Doom II, created by Pavera, Tarnsman, Marcaek, and Xaser, organised in three acts and one epilogue.

Originally, it came out in December 2019. In April 2021, an update was released, coinciding with its release as an official add-on, from which it inherited certain edits to its maps, and the removal / replacement of many assets, so as to keep the public release and the official add-on in sync, in terms of playable content. All music was sourced from Maxime Tondreau (Psychedelic Eyeball).

As for technical requirements, this minisode requires a limit-removing source port, at least. However, the use of an MBF-compatible source port is recommended, as a few maps feature MBF sky transfers to sport non-default skies. Syringe became recipient of one of the Cacowards in 2020.

Built-in demos[edit]

This WAD features three but identical built-in demos. They require Doom II v1.9 to be viewed and run for 11.74 (411 tics) at Ultra-Violence on level MAP05: Blast Off!, with the player committing suicide by rocket explosion within 8 seconds.
