TAT05: The Gate is the fifth map of Dark Tartarus. It was designed by lihanchi and uses the music track "Tale of the Cave" by David K Newton.

Walkthrough[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Go north from the start and at the steps, shoot the recessed brick on the west wall to lower the bookshelves with backpacks. (sector 462)
  2. Outside, go into the blood going south to a light square, which will teleport you to a megasphere. (sector 205)
  3. Head west from the central building towards the large marble building, then go to the northeast corner of this building and execute a rocket jump to get on the corner wall. Head to the south end of this wall and lower the west wall to get an invulnerability. (sector 709)
  4. By entering either of the large portals at the south or east ends of the level, you will teleport to a secret slaughter arena. (sector 662)
  5. After you get the yellow key, return to the center building and head east from the center stairs, then south. Head to the east end of this monster closet to find a soul sphere. (sector 417)
  6. At the switch which unlocks the red key, look through the northwest wall and shoot there to lower a wall back in the previous hall, containing energy cell packs and a megasphere. (sector 470)
  7. At the exit, go through the wall of bodies to teleport to an invulnerability, a megasphere, partial invisibility (Ultra-Violence or higher), a backpack, a computer area map, and energy cell packs. (sector 447)
