Deletion

The content associated with this talk page was considered for deletion, and either was deleted, or was kept after a period of discussion. This page has been retained for historical reference regarding the deletion process, or in case of future restoration of any deleted content.

This is technically against our deletion policy.  If you disagree with Wacky, fine; do it by voting "keep", not by trying to stifle the whole conversation.

Admittedly, deletion seems highly unlikely in light of our policy about PWADs.  Is that why you did it?    Ryan W 10:51, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

I suppose that makes sense, but one important effect of the deletion policy is to keep the article in Category:Delete for at least a week, so it can be noticed by editors who don't read the entire changelog (or even check it on a daily basis).  That's especially important when neither editor uses the edit summary to indicate that deletion was being discussed, as was the case here.

The immediate cause of the current policy was that certain people would apparently remove the {{delete}} template to express their displeasure that a discussion was even occurring.  It doesn't sound like you did that, which is good.  But just so you know.    Ryan W 05:23, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
