To-do list for adding CPs to mapper pages[edit]
When a CP comes out, its maps should to be added to pertaining mapper pages, and bespoke soundtracks to composer pages. No alphas/betas because there needs to be a stable release prior to wiki coverage, as map names and slots may still change. No redlinks unless a mod is so notable already that it will likely get an article. I don't follow forum releases but do monitor idgames/newstuff, and the wiki is sometimes falling behind there. Since these additions are something anybody can do (and I think I do plenty for the wiki already), I prefer to leave them for someone else. So I figure a to-do list is useful (more than asking an individual), and this talk page a more suitable place for it than Central Processing. I'll add entries to the list below when they pop up and whoever addresses a CP can take it out of the list again (keep an empty bullet after removing the last entry).
- Sweet Sixteen
- Crispy Chicken Speedmap Session 10: Anything but Doom II
- Crispy Chicken Speedmap Session 11: 4+7
- Acid Plumbing World a.k.a. Clippy's Acid Maps
There may be others that I have missed. And feel free to add other CPs, like (final) RCs in the forums, so that we can all keep track together. Thanks for your assistance. --Xymph (talk) 04:32, 4 September 2024 (CDT)
- Great idea! I'm always ready to help you with such stuff. Gonna do some of these later today. --Nockson (talk) 04:52, 4 September 2024 (CDT)
- Judgemental Operas of Perilous Architecture is done for all mappers with Doomwiki pages. --Matador (talk) 17:13, 25 January 2025 (CST)
- Bluesky Map Jam is done, there are a few bespoke tracks but they are by people who don't have an article. Thelokk (talk) 05:23, 25 February 2025 (CST)
- I was going to do Hardfest 3 over the weekend. I presume that, if only for consistency with the two previous projects, its maps will eventually get articles; however, considering I was part of the project, and I know we're all a bit touchy about the "no self-advertising" thing over here, I'd like to get greenlight on redlinks, no redlinks, or nothing at all before I just create useless cleanup work for someone else. EDIT - done. Thelokk (talk) 06:37, 4 March 2025 (CST)
- Amalgoom is done, I double-checked if I missed any mappers with a wiki page. --Heretic926 (talk) 14:54, 20 August 2025 (GMT+3)
- Added SSS01 maps for the authors that have a wiki page as well when the megawad was released as well...
- Probably going to do the same with TDA redialed, if not another wants to do that... Walter (talk) 04:39, 23 August 2025 (CDT)
- Hi, compiled Community Trunk, Tele-Direct Atlantic Doom and Boggy Region 2 infos and also found a way to remove them from this to-do list! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Walter (talk • contribs) .
Added I Hate NoMo and Vertex relocation... Using the title from thread with the "/" charatchers. I hope it's ok that way! Walter (talk) 13:51, 11 September 2025 (CDT)
Is RAMP 2025 coverage actually done? For 213 maps there's surprisingly few edits relating to it, or were there just that few people with preexisting articles contributing? --Nova++ (talk) 08:40, 12 September 2025 (CDT)
- Yes, there were only a "few" credits for mappers with preexisting pages. Shouldn't be too surprising, given that RAMP is specifically targeted at newcommers to mapping. I'm not complaining. --Gregor (talk) 09:37, 12 September 2025 (CDT)
Waiting on finalisation of Back to '95 before adding them here, there are a few cases of name confusion in the current RC. --Grapes (talk) 11:13, 22 June 2026 (CDT)
Snow Wave 2 done. I suspect Kelvayl is Dreadopp but not sure. Would be very nice if people got into the habit of adding all maps to the mappers' pages for community projects, and not just their own, but it's probably a lost cause at this point... Thelokk (talk) 01:52, 1 July 2026 (CDT)
