OpenGL ports and voxels[edit]

Julian mentioned this before in the doomworld thread, but perhaps it's worth mentioning here. There are solutions for opengl ports to render voxels by using the marching cubes algorithms. References here and here, and I'm sure more references could be found. --Manc 21:45, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

LEGO DOOM[edit]

Heh, the Voxel models look like legos. Now can we hope for official Doom Lego sets or for team hellspawn to make a Lego Doom? Oh wait, that's what they're doing already. I wonder what the monsters will look like.67.235.201.195 23:13, January 22, 2010 (UTC)Anonymous

Is the Doom Voxel Project dead?[edit]

Is the Doom Voxel Project dead? it hasn't been updated in almost two whole years. 50.138.213.207 18:49, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Should be mothballed[edit]

My edits were rejected as "butchery" but I obviously disagree. This is a dead project (or at least obsoleted by Voxel Doom) so this article should be changed accordingly. -PhilthyPhilistine (talk) 14:38, 28 August 2023 (CDT)

You are free to disagree, but I entirely agree with the reversal, considering you removed a ton of information. In that case I am sorry but you are free to keep the disagreement to yourself, and maybe avoid vandalizing pages by removing tons of information for no justifiable reason next time. And no, "the project is abandoned" is not at all a justifiable reason for information removal. --Dynamo128 (talk) 14:48, 28 August 2023 (CDT)

At the very least, I suggest restoring this edit. It's a cleaner separation of 2 different projects and articles. -PhilthyPhilistine (talk) 15:16, 28 August 2023 (CDT)
