  • I vote for keep. I believe this person is more important than what people realize. If you don't believe me research this person on the forums. Plus he's gotten so much attention on the /idgames archives, check out the amount of votes he also gets. Justice ∞ 01:27, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
Homer? Who is Homer? I am Guy Incognito. Grain of Salt 02:34, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
Is that the best reason you can come up with as why the Doomguy 2000 article should be deleted? Check out the game mods section of the TV Tropes, where it talks about Doomguy's Warzone and the author himself. Plus Doomguy is actually an important topic to the Doom community. I'm guessing you nominated this article for deletion because you don't like the person himself. Justice ∞ 03:44, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
Oh, this is going to be one of those conversations. Grain of Salt 05:32, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Delete. Doomguy 2000 is not notable, as demonstrated by the fact that he had to create this article himself. In fact, apart from threads (and idgames entries, etc) created by Doomguy 2000 himself, I have literally never seen anyone discussing his creations, let alone discussing him. His name only appears at all because of his shameless self-promotion. Grain of Salt 05:40, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

There's proof of people still talking about him on the ZDoom forums [1], [2], [3]. That's just some ZDoom posts, now to show proof of people talking about him and his creations [4], [5], and [6] for Doomworld proof. I think this article should stay based on the fact that he created Doomguy's Warzone and 30,000 Levels. Justice ∞ 06:10, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

  • Delete. Such pathetic people just crave for this kind of unneeded promotion that you appear to be giving him here. Unmaker 01:46, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
  • I think we should keep the article. I can't say that I like him very much, but he is slightly notable in that he's created infamous WADs. People's articles shouldn't be deleted just because you don't like them. A better reason is if they haven't contributed anything, which Doomguy2000 has, even if his contributions suck. Sodaholic 21:53, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
  • Delete. He's notable only in so far as he has done everything he could to draw attention to himself, so that people would talk about him. He's vain and narcissistic, and thought that annoying a bunch of retro gamers (a.k.a. easily-annoyed grumps) was the simplest way to feed his vanity. I don't see how warzone or 30K levels are really notable. Yeah, there were forum threads about them. That's not nearly enough, though. They are not going to be very influential on other modders. (Also, I'm pretty sure he is User:Justice Infinity, which makes this article and its defense self-promotion.) --Gez 11:14, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
I'm not going to change your opinion, but I am here to counteract the fact that he hasn't been infulential to other modders. Go read Doomguy's review of Atomic Attack and you will see that the author uses plenty of resources from his Millennia Invasion. Plus the secret level in Beyond Reality pays tribute to Heaven, which is also created by the same person. There's this video of it. Justice ∞ 08:52, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
  • Delete. Glassyman didn't get his own page, so why should Doomguy 2000? His ego doesn't need any more inflating. --Obsidian 8:04, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
Because it hasn't been created yet? Plus he won a cacoward so therefore he qualifies for a page about himself. Well hopefully I get around to creating his page sometime. Justice ∞ 08:41, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
Why don't you make one for Darkexodus while you're at it!? Neither him, Glassyman or Doomguy 2000 deserve pages in the Doom Wiki: being immature and childish should never mean you get special treatment. --Obsidian 10:52, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
That's not up to you and for your information the Dark Exodus has been created, I just renamed it to Dark Exodus and there's also a Terry page on here. It seems like you can't come up with a good legitimate reason as to why this article should be deleted. You only want it gone because you don't like him, unless you can prove me wrong on that statement. Justice ∞ 20:00, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
I know about the Terry page, thank you very much As much as I hate him, Terry has earned his page on the Doom Wiki: not many people can claim that they single-handedly created a Doom genre. It might not be a very nice genre(to put it mildly), but it does have it's place in Dooming history. Plus he didn't write it himself. Doomguy 2000 on the other hand is merely one of the people Terry has influenced: that, coupled with an extremely bad attitude and need for attention, has made him in a way more hated than Terry. Do you see Terry shoving his work in everyone's faces? This is what I propose: the article should be deleted, but someone else other than Doomguy 2000 can write a new one if they wish to do so. The Doom Wiki should never be biased or unbalanced: I've already seen one Wiki go that way. If Doomguy 2000 truly deserves a page on the Doom Wiki, then someone else will write it - not him. • Going against the crowd and voting Keep due to the prolific output of bad material which earned the author so much scorn. The fact this article wasn't deleted for two years means it hasn't really been offensive enough to be a real problem. I feel some of the previous arguments above were emotional and not founded entirely on policy, and were temporal in nature due to the at-that-time on-going flood of Doomguy 2000 material being added by Justice Infinity, which is no longer a factor at the present time. --Quasar (talk) 22:18, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Is there any chance the deletion tag could be removed? It looks like to me you guys are going to keep this article along with Doomguy's Warzone Gold Edition. Justice ∞ (talk) 03:05, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Closed as of 2015-07-17, due to habitual community neglect and non-compliance with policy. --Quasar (talk) 10:24, 17 July 2015 (CDT)

Seriously?[edit]

Removing this page because he makes bad wads? That's more retarded than the wads themselves. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 36.76.199.121 (talkcontribs) .

AFAICT that's not the reason.  Tens of thousands of people have made bad wads.  We can't have an article about each one (not enough documentation, not enough available labor).  So we ask: what makes him different from any other random wad author?  If no one can answer that, then no article, sorry.    Ryan W 19:42, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
