Talk:E2M8: Tower of Babel (Doom)
I say we keep the scriptural reference, because no, not everybody knows. Americans (such as myself) are sort of used to thinking that even people without full formal educations have heard lots of names from the Bible, but that might not be true, for example, in China. :> Ryan W 19:55, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)
more about the tower :) I think the building behaviour was not in 1.2, but I'm not sure.. at least, the secret level didn't have a buildign associated with it (the blood splat just went on an empty area of the crater).—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 18.104.22.168 (talk • contribs) .
"Shoot at it until it dies."
Try to Google the phrase. Apparently, some troll edited the page, adding it.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 22.214.171.124 (talk • contribs) .
- More like a humorous reference to the useless Gamepro article. "Protip:" became a meme thanks to that ridiculous advice.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 126.96.36.199 (talk • contribs) .
Some vs. most
Re: this edit: Console ports that exist:
Even if you take only the old fashioned ports that had largely rewritten code and modified data to fit on the limited hardware of the era, there are as many ports where the map is the same as there are where the maps are different; and a couple ports where there's no map with that name at all, making the point moot. Makes the "different" side not "most". But then if you add in modern console ports (Xbox and later; a port to the Xb1 was announced by saying it'd be a bonus for preordering Doom 2016 on that platform) you'll only ever get console ports from now on where the map is the same. --Gez (talk) 09:44, 1 March 2016 (CST)
