Best?

I don't particularly agree with the statement that it's "likely the best weapon in Heretic". It's great against melee attackers and big enemies like weredragons, where you're likely to put all three shards into them, but against ghosts and the gargoyles (who make a smaller target)... not so much.

Also, "The advantage of the crossbow over other weapons is that it allows the player to strafe and dodge out of the way of incoming projectiles while aiming at and hitting the monsters without taking damage."--this is more possible with the crossbow than other weapons why? -- ETTiNGRiNDER 01:21, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

Recommend "be bold" policy with stuff like this. If you disagree, feel free to change it. The real issue is that these kinds of advice have a bit of subjectivity. Every player has a different play style. One might find themselves hitting with the crossbow more often on the run than with other weapons, but personally I feel the Skull Rod probably has better odds of that - where it is available. I don't think it's debatable that the Crossbow is the dominant weapon in Episode 1, at least, given how relatively bad the Dragon Claw is. --Quasar 15:59, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
