Why is this in Category:Source ports?  It sounds more like a mod, in the sense of being a utility program meant to be used alongside the engine; FAKENET and NOVERT are other examples.    Ryan W 22:19, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Those are external apps to use along with an executable, while this is a version of a source port. Nonetheless, I think this should just be mentioned in the Odamex page, instead of having its own article, especially since the new code has been merged into Odamex. This page could then redirect to Odamex. Who is like God? 13:19, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

I would concur. This is not article worthy. There's literally no more information that could be said about this and it was practically defunct before it could ever be used. 99.154.186.185 20:05, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

How could GDHACK_SPECTATE be defunct (def: no longer living, existing, or functioning) when it is inside of Odamex? Even though it's really old, (Metaphor ahead) doesn't mean Doom 1.9 doesn't use any 0.4 code. So it is truly functioning within Odamex as without GDHACK_SPECTATE, Odamex wouldn't have the spectating code it uses today (which is a further evolution of the code). --GhostlyDeath 06:37, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
