Talk:Half-Life ZDoom

From DoomWiki.org

Can I ask why this mod requires ZDoom to run (I know the Doomwad station link at the bottom of the page claims it requires ZDoom)?

But in the zip, I see a wad containing no ZDoom lumps, a deh, Dehacked.exe and Deusf.exe. The txt file makes not one mention of ZDoom.

Indeed, the screenshot attached to this article is also strange as it shows artwork and levels not included in the mod or version of the mod that the download link links to (the version the download link gives has no new levels). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Verm (talkcontribs) .

If this project were at all notable, I'd have expected a zdoom forums search to turn up some discussion.  Nevertheless, it apparently was released eventually, and I have put in a working link to indicate this.    Ryan W 16:16, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

I think this article should be moved to Half-Life ZDoom as that is the name on the ModDB page & the downloaded .txt file. I have also spotted at least one article trying to link to this one with the belief it's about Valve's original game. A brief Half-Life article could also be added to show how development of the HL universe is linked to the Doom community. e.g., Dario Casali (HL1, HL2, HL:Alyx) & Iikka Keränen (HL2, HL:Alyx) worked on multiple titles. --Afterglow (talk) 21:07, 6 October 2020 (CDT)
