Talk:Heretic cheat codes

From DoomWiki.org

I removed this bit: "In Heretic, type "dipstick" to enable cheat mode for the entire session or "rav" to enable cheat mode for only one attempt. Then, enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function". These codes don't actually seem to be needed for anything. If they are used in older versions of the game, this could of course be mentioned with some rewording. Janizdreg 16:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

I have never heard of "dipstick" or "rav" as Heretic cheat codes, either shareware or registered vesion IDLover 00:12, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

gimmez0[edit]

I'm surprised this exception to the cheat code wasn't in the list. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.156.181.178 (talkcontribs) .

This is a wiki, so every article probably has more omissions than salient points.  :>    Ryan W 00:16, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
It is included, under the "gimme" header, and there are more options than "z0." To quote "If 'z' is entered as the item, and '0' (zero) is entered as the amount, the player is given 5 of each item" --Doom Music 208.251.97.90 19:23, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Stub?[edit]

This article is flagged as a stub, but it looks complete to me. Well, as complete as wiki articles ever get. :) It looks like the stub category just needs to be removed. It's already categorized correctly under Heretic and cheating. Is there something else that needs to be added or is the stub category ready to be removed? Hwlester 13:00, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

US$0.02:  Go for it.  The main differences I see between this and Doom cheat codes are the source port stuff (is there any?) and the id stories (few and far between in general, so that hardly makes it a stub).    Ryan W 19:51, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
