Talk:How to play Doom online multiplayer

Original version is the document by Doomkid linked in the Sources section.  It has a date stamp of 2014-10-03 right now, though he's talked about revising it further.  Permission to repost was then requested and granted.  The IDE files technically breach our guideline of not ripping images, but we have some precedent for exceptions (involving commercial software even, which IDE isn't).

I've obviously tried to refactor for our "house style" without changing the content, but I have done no testing, so I apologize if I ended up introducing flaws.  Ideally dozens of expert DMers with Windows 7 will now show up and make it perfect!  :>     Ryan W (talk) 23:05, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Just saw, the above links were permanently broken when Doomkid's thread moved to the new Multiplayer subforum.  The post dates were actually important in this case, because it was during a period when DW's terms of use had not yet reappeared following a server-side upgrade, so Doomkid could choose to relicense his text for the wiki.  Now we've returned to the prior situation where DW owns all submitted content.    Ryan W (living fossil) 13:45, 5 July 2019 (CDT)
