Page move[edit]

To be consistent with other people articles, this should be moved to <REDACTED>. --Chungy (talk) 19:12, 31 August 2015 (CDT)

Done — seems non-controversial to me.    Ryan W (talk) 20:50, 31 August 2015 (CDT)
He asked that his real name not be used specifically. I guess he can file a complaint if he doesn't like it. There's usually a good reason when I do something that is against the norm. ;) --Quasar (talk) 09:46, 1 September 2015 (CDT)
Yeah, I'd appreciate it if my name were removed if possible. Jmickle (talk) 10:04, 1 September 2015 (CDT)
I'd favor going with the concerned person's request, personally. --Gez (talk) 15:05, 1 September 2015 (CDT)
Agree. While it's not a legal requirement and his name may be public knowledge, I'd rather we do what we can to accomodate reasonable requests within the community. --Quasar (talk) 15:09, 1 September 2015 (CDT)
Jmickle, I've just taken actions that should keep it off Google.  If you want it removed from MediaWiki's history and logs as well, that's harder; please ask User:SpiderMastermind for help.  (Sorry for changing your comment, chungy, but talk pages get crawled too.)
Quasar, no one is implying you don't think before you edit  :>   but no, that wasn't obvious IMO.  We've had cases where the name wasn't discovered until after the first draft, for instance.    Ryan W (talk) 16:04, 1 September 2015 (CDT)
Aye, that's why I wrote the original request. Seemed like incomplete information rather than an intentional omission. --Chungy (talk) 05:04, 4 September 2015 (CDT)
Thanks :) No worries about the history/logs. Jmickle (talk) 16:38, 1 September 2015 (CDT)
Oops, didn't know you wanted your name off your page! Sorry about that, I'll fix it right away. Obsidian (talk) 16:38, 2 September 2015 (CDT)

Changes 9/02[edit]

Several wads that were released, albeit not on idgames, were removed w/o explanation. AFAIK this is not per policy. Discuss, or I will revert. --Quasar (talk) 08:12, 2 September 2015 (CDT)

I didn't quite know where the links to the wads were at the time and figured that it wouldn't be all that useful to have the names and nothing else. Apologies for any inconvenience. Obsidian (talk) 16:38, 2 September 2015 (CDT)
Fair point, but recently there has been a trend (not a policy, just a vague feeling) that if a person known as a modder deserves an article, all their works do too.  The list therefore tells editors which pages haven't been written yet, as well as providing a bit more information to the reader even if they can't instantly download each file.    Ryan W (talk) 17:40, 2 September 2015 (CDT)
jmickle stated he may work on getting those wads uploaded to the archive so I've been holding off to see if links to them become available. --Quasar (talk) 12:27, 3 September 2015 (CDT)
