Talk:MAP19: NME (The Plutonia Experiment)

From DoomWiki.org

Anyone know the background behind the level name? Is it supposed to be pronounced (i.e., "enemy")? 68.126.0.1 01:10, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

I'd say so, yes, especially since similar "txt-isms" were used for MAP32: Go 2 It (The Plutonia Experiment). -- Jdowland 18:27, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Similarity to E2M1[edit]

Does anybody else notice a similarity between the start of this level and the beginning hallway of E2M1 of Doom? The bent hallway eventually leads to a room with a window. That window leads to a concave sector that surrounds that room. If anybody here notices a similarity, maybe it should be noted in the article? Plutonia does have a lot of similarities to earlier Doom levels. There are homages to Entryway, Circle of Death, The Living End, and Abandoned Mines in this wad along with this. -Wagi 69.51.157.227 18:10, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

US$0.02:  Oh, there are a bunch.  I would add The Inmost Dens, Dead Simple, and The Courtyard off the top of my head (don't have the files right in front of me to check).  Of course, if I had that kind of deadline, I might not be able to dredge up 16 completely original ideas either.   :>     Ryan W 21:19, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

the name of this level is the same as third boos of ROTT the "nasty metallic enforcer" aka spray.
