Not all monster-like thing types listed[edit]

Where are rebels, beggars, shop keepers, and peasants in the thing count tables for Strife? I think they should be accounted for, personally. --Quasar (talk) 18:05, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

Ok, I start to produce that information. --Jartapran (talk) 18:21, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
BTW, what do you use to get those? I'm in need of thing counts for a number of articles I've previously created and plan to create in the very near future but I have nothing on hand with which to generate them. --Quasar (talk) 22:38, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
I use DeePsea's level statistics feature. It gives fresh flag-based information about the amounts of various things. It eases life, but there is one nuisance: the feature doesn't seem to be able to ignore multiplayer-flagged things, so that you could get the appearance statistics of single player straight away. Thus, to get the needed information, I need to track and delete each multiplayer-flagged thing manually from the level. With all multiplayer-flagged things deleted, I can use the information given by the statistics feature. To make the tracking process easier, I use the editor's find feature that allows you to jump to desired things on the level.
I want to highlight that there could well be more convenient ways to do the task, but that's the way I've used from the very beginning. It would be interesting to hear about RebmoZ's work, for example, as he has also added thing tables actively here. --Jartapran (talk) 00:02, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Possibly talk to User:Unmaker, who knows how to modify map stats code and has added many thing tables to articles (not always with multiplayer counts, but the existing WadSpy package definitely outputs them).    Ryan W (talk) 00:39, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
