How does modifying a wall affect the BFG sound? The Silent BFG trick is executed by dropping off a ledge and emitting an 'oof,' cutting off the BFG a split second after it was fired. The text cited in the article implies that by modifying a nearby wall, a player's BFG will be heard, but his 'oof' will not play at all. How does this tie in with changing a wall or linedef? 68.37.180.226 23:41, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Normally, pushing a solid wall also cuts off the BFG sound. Therefore, IIRC, this cheat could counteract that by changing all the linedefs of the walls so that they made no sound when pushed (by setting the 2S flag, for instance, or using type GR with an orphaned tag). The silent BFG trick would still work, as you say, with the "landing" noise. Ryan W 07:28, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
