Custom things mapping[edit]

Eris' extensive descriptions (thanks) resulted in the following custom things mapping file for DMMPST (TSV format):

3	2007	Demon soul	Maskim Xul#New items
5	41	Roulette sphere	Maskim Xul#New items

Although, because of the mapping's complexity, I'm not sure it's entirely correct and complete, so please let me know about any improvements/corrections. And here's how you can help with mapping files for other WADs. --Xymph (talk) 12:36, 12 December 2018 (CST)

The items are particularly complicated and there are some things in the initial tables I noticed:
  • Boxes of rockets are listed, but they don't exist in the WAD, they're shotguns. The original shotguns are demon souls.
  • Demon hearts (originally clips) don't appear in any of the tables, but are definitely placed in the maps - given the stated quantities, it seems what are listed as souls are actually the hearts. --Eris Falling (talk) 12:56, 12 December 2018 (CST)
Looking more closely at the mapping table, both demon heart and demon soul have been assigned ID 2007 (clip). The souls should use 2001, with an additional entry for 2046 = Shotgun --Eris Falling (talk) 12:59, 12 December 2018 (CST)
The duplicate 2007 entry happened when I got distracted before editing the second one. Thanks for the shotgun, which I overlooked. I also added updated names for three sprite-only replacement items:

Anything else before I regenerate the things tables? --Xymph (talk) 13:40, 12 December 2018 (CST)
Concerning cosmetic-only changes, keycards are renamed to crystal keys (skull keys are unchanged), but I think that's everything otherwise. --Eris Falling (talk) 06:38, 13 December 2018 (CST)
Okay, mapping updated above, and tables regenerated. Thanks again. --Xymph (talk) 07:17, 13 December 2018 (CST)
