Please let me know any improvements/corrections. And here's how you can help with mapping files for other WADs. --Xymph (talk) 12:43, 11 January 2021 (CST)
Add-on version[edit]
During QuakeCon, it was announced that Scientist would become one of the add-ons for the official Doom port. But looking at screenshots, it appears to be a substantially different WAD than the one covered on the wiki. Sponge told me it has a brand new soundtrack (the original used Dream Theater MIDIs) but the screenshots showcase also different graphics, new monsters and weapons that never appeared in the original, and so on. Due to these differences, and the fact that the WAD is called Scientist rather than Scientist 2, I would propose creating a new article to cover it, although, much like Harmony, I suspect there is going to be a non-addon re-release of this same WAD somewhere in the future, I'd wager... --Dynamo128 (talk) 15:18, 15 August 2023 (CDT)
- We have a page for Scientist 2023 now. Hopefully this clears up the confusion with people coming to this page expecting information on the new one. --Dynamo128 (talk) 16:48, 13 September 2023 (CDT)
