Talk:Strife: Absolute Order

From DoomWiki.org

Couple of notes[edit]

  • Maps are in Hexen format and use scripts to control some level elements.
  • Two new pickups are added via DECORATE: AccuracyBonus (thing 1337) and HealthTraining (thing 1338). They allow accuracy and stamina upgrades to be added as pickups.
  • The Bishop has 1,200 health instead of 500 (so he has more health than an inquisitor).

I can't decide if MAP11 merits its own page. Its only purpose is to provide ending text and act as a dead end. Gauss (talk) 08:44, 8 February 2021 (CST)

No, such maps with near-zero playability rarely get articles.
But I must urge you again to use the mlg or ml templates for level lists. And to not use a WAD name in those map paths that differs from the main WAD article (with very few exceptions, like a huge difference in path length). My scripts aren't infinitely flexible, they make certain assumptions about those WAD paths being the same, and mismatches like here wreak havoc that's time-consuming and annoying to clean up. --Xymph (talk) 11:58, 8 February 2021 (CST)
You've never encouraged me to use those, you're thinking of Dynamo128. And I'm sorry, but I just wasn't sure which titles would be more appropriate. I'll keep it in mind for the next project I have in mind. Gauss (talk) 12:08, 8 February 2021 (CST)
Yes, sorry, mixed up contributors. As for the secret sectors and thing counts, DMMPST didn't properly handle Hexen-format PWADs for Strife yet, it's the first time I/it encountered those. Working on fixes and then I'll update the tables. --Xymph (talk) 12:34, 8 February 2021 (CST)
