what about a soul jar from 0.5 alpha? it seems to me that at one point this thing was to replace the supercharge, especially if we take into account the following from the Doom bible:
Soul sphere. Contains the life energy of a human soul (and thus, it is a 1-Up)! Could become another shape if this seems too wolfish.
Powerup from the retail looks rather similar to that BJ-head-in-a-ball, right? However, all this is pure speculation :) Mikerakhabit 01:51, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
