Talk:Wall wiggle bug
I think maybe we should change the title to the "floor wiggle bug" since that's the nomenclature used in the documentation for the R_FixWiggle() fix. Seems appropriate.
- I disagree on the grounds that it's a problem with wall rendering, not floor rendering. Suggesting that it is the floor doing the wiggling is misleading. Floors and ceilings in Doom simply fill in the spaces between walls so technically, they're not doing anything wrong or unexpected themselves. If kb1 chose that name for the fix in his code, I feel it was ill-advised. It's also neologistic as this fix is maybe a few months old whereas this bug was recognized almost 10 years ago and other more involved fixes were developed for it at that time. --Quasar (talk) 01:54, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
