Someone edited this page in 2007 to change the release date from "1997" to "1995". No reason or source was given. I've been trying to pin down the actual date of release on this, and after scouring old Usenet posts I think the 1995 date is incorrect.

Date of last upload to idgames/ is 1997-06-16, and the textfile doesn't seem to contain any update directives for an older file (were they doing that yet?). I believe this may be the canonical release date unless someone has any sources for an older beta release. Caligari87 (talk) 16:06, 16 December 2021 (CST)
