The /oldstuff Chronicles was a short series of nostalgic PWAD reviews posted on Doomworld that covered influential works from early in the Doom community's history. The blurbs written by Andrew Stine (Linguica) and Matthew Dixon (Mattrim) were published between December 2000 and June 2001. They were a throwback counterpart to The /newstuff Chronicles that covered the latest uploads to the idgames archive. Some WADs covered by The /oldstuff Chronicles predated the Wayback Machine and did not appear on the idgames archive so they were longer publicly available. To counter this problem the review always included a download link, sometimes hosted on Doomworld's servers.
