The Holy City of Aratum

The Holy City of Aratum is the fifth level of Doom: The Dark Ages. Riding Serrat, the Doom Slayer must destroy the Hell carriers assaulting the floating city of Aratum to reach its cathedral, where Prince Ahzrak is attempting to steal the Heart of Argent.
The battle knight and cyberdemon are introduced as enemies in this level. The cycler and super shotgun are introduced as weapons.

Lore[edit]
Floating above Argent D'Nur, the city of Aratum is an epicenter of Sentinel theology. It houses relics and texts from the Age of the Ancestrals, which have been preserved despite Wraith worship being outlawed in favor of devotion to the Maykrs. The city is untouched by war, as an unspoken law states that to spill blood within Aratum is to invite the wrath of the gods.
