The People's Doom (shortened to TPD) is a project to create a replacement IWAD for Doom, similar to Freedoom, but as freeware instead of free software. It does not aim for PWAD compatibility and has a custom palette.
It has four episodes, the first three being dedicated to normal gameplay, with the fourth being dedicated to deathmatch:
- Episode 1: A Cry In the Dark
- Episode 2: Marooned on Titan
- Episode 3: The Underground City
- Episode 4: Warworld
History[edit]
Development started in 2003, after several months of development version 0.1 was released on November 22, 2003.[1]
Several versions were released from October 27, 2017 to October 2, 2020 with the latest release being 'TPD201002'.
