The Revenge of Avind is a vanilla-compatible single-level PWAD for Doom II. It was designed by Christian Hansen and released in March 1998. It is the author's first ever WAD.

Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

You start the map in a small courtyard. Walk north and go through the double doors. Then, turn left and head to the top corner. Enter the room and you will be in the blue key area, where you must do some platforming to get to it. Once you have it, head out to the south and you will see the blue door at the bottom. Follow the path to the upper area and press the switch at the bottom. Then exit and go back to the central room again, through the double doors.

Follow the new hallway and you will reach the red key quickly. Once you have it, go back to the center of the map again. The red key area is located on a wall on the northeast side.

Now you are in the underground area, where you must press two switches to activate an elevator. This is right next to the elevator where you entered. It will take you to a small courtyard with a bloodfall. Just follow the straight path until you reach the yellow key.

Once you have it, simply backtrack to the double doors area. The final door is on the east wall, between two black banners. Inside is the switch that will make you finish the map.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the blue key area, go on the thin path to the west wall. Open it to get shotgun shells, a super shotgun, and a medikit. (sector 28)
  2. After using the switch at the end of the blue key path, return to the central room and open the northwest door. You will find an open area to the north, leading to a rocket launcher and a rocket. (sector 49)
  3. At the east side, flip the switch to raise a bridge to another switch to the north. Flip that switch and return to the starting courtyard. At the west side is a green armor. (sector 104)
