The Ultimate NMD (or The Ultimate Needs More Detail) is a 2009 megawad for Doom containing 27 new levels created by Fiend. The levels are designed in the style of original levels, however they are much smaller in size and not as detailed as the levels that were getting released at that time, hence the name "Needs More Detail" given for the wad. The previous two episodes were released separately in 2008 as "Needs More Detail" and "Needs More Detail II", while the final episode was released on June 30th, 2009 as "The Ultimate NMD" and included the previous two episodes as well, with little to no changes made to them.

Levels[edit]

Episode 1 - Anomaly Zero

Episode 2 - Hell's Door

Episode 3 - Abandon Hope

Built-in demos[edit]

This WAD features a full set of built-in demos. The first and third demo are recorded on "Hurt Me Plenty" difficulty, while the second is on "Hey, Not Too Rough". The first demo manages to complete the map, the second shows how to get the blue key quickly and then stops, while the third demo desyncs almost immediately and the player is eventually killed by a zombieman. All demos require Doom/Ultimate Doom v1.9 to view them. The demo levels are:

DEMO2 E1M7: Power Station 2 2193 1:02.66
