The Wailing Horde is a single-level PWAD for Doom and a limit removing source port. It was designed by Christian Hansen and uses a music track, "Caught in the Shadows", by James Paddock (Jimmy), who also supplied the title music, "Explosion".

The Wailing Horde became a runner-up in the 2014 Cacowards ceremony.

Secrets[edit]

  1. After taking the first lift down, head northwest to the next room, then return southeast and go east to a lift. Take it up to get armor bonuses, a stimpack, shotgun shells, an ammo clip, and a computer area map. (sector 117)
  2. Head northeast of the red key and when you enter the next room, backtrack to find two paths to the sides where the nukage is. Enter the southeast room and use the north wall. In the next room, you can get a medikit and a backpack from the alcoves to the east. (sector 111)
  3. In the yellow key area, go into the red teleporter on the northwest part of the high ledge. In the area you teleport to, lower the southeast wall to find a medikit, a megaarmor, and a box of ammo. (sector 724)
  4. In the room at the north end with two teleporters, take the red one and jump down to the platform that has a plasma gun and energy cells. Quickly run south when you do this, all the way to an open window, then quickly press the switch before either the window or the switch closes. The floor will lower, so head south to a teleporter to teleport to partial invisibility, a medikit, and another energy cell. (sector 503)
  5. In the area east of the bridge over blood, take the north lift and fall west of the switch. Follow the ledge to a switch, flip it, then drop down and head east to pick up a soul sphere. (sector 300)
  6. In the southeast corridors, go to where the dead marine is and you will lower. Head south and west to get a medikit, shotgun shells, and a switch. (sector 766)
  7. A BFG9000 is in the center of a square room at the southeast end. To get it, use the switch in Secret #7, then leave the corridors into the square room and open the northwest door if you have not done so already. After doing so, trigger the lift to the north without taking it, then quickly run to the south side. Use both switches to the sides to unlock the south switch, which lowers the BFG9000. (sector 709)
  8. In the final area, go through the southwest teleporter. Use the switch when you teleport, then take the south corridors back to the southeast side. Go up the steps to the east and go through the vines to the left to get a megaarmor. (sector 906)
