Thematic Elements is a single-player level for Doom II requiring a limit removing source port. It was released on the 11th of October, 2004 by Thomas Lutrov (Lutrov71) and Kimmo Kumpulainen (Jimi).
The map requires the player to go through three different areas with different themes and get a key. Once all keys have been obtained the player can reach the exit. The map is large and difficult, as it was originally intended to be map28 for a community project.
Lutrov71 was uncomfortable with implementing the gameplay to the level as he wasn't a very good Doom player at the time, so he got Jimi to implement the gameplay while he mapped the architecture.
Thematic Elements is also used as MAP22 of the Community Chest 2 project, where walkthrough, secrets, statistics, and other information are covered.
