Tim Stump (Timmie)
From DoomWiki.org
Tim Stump (alias timmie) is a Canadian programmer who has developed OpenGL source ports based on ZDoom. In 2002 he took over maintenance of ZDoomGL (v1) from Michaël Ryssen (Kokak), creating ZDoomGL (v2) and leading source port development between March 2002 and August 2005. After taking time off from the Doom community, in September 2013 he returned to work on an experimental fork of GZDoom that supports Oculus Rift positional tracking.
Tim has worked professionally as a software engineer for Electronic Arts, contributing to multiple titles in the FIFA video game franchise.
GZDoom development fork for Oculus Rift[edit]
On September 1, 2013, Tim posted a screenshot to the ZDoom forums[1] that showcased an experimental GZDoom fork in VR stereoscope mode. More screenshots were posted the following week on Shacknews' comment system[2] and the DRD Team forums.[3] On September 9, 2013 a binary forking GZDoom 1.8.2 to support Oculus Rift VR headsets was made available for download.[4][5] The unversioned executable predated GZ3Doom's initial release by one month.
The source code has never been made publicly available and the still-unversioned download URL was last updated on December 5, 2013.
