UZDoom is a fork of the GZDoom source port by a team of developers who previously worked on GZDoom. UZDoom follows GZDoom's feature set, but will provide new features for modders. The first full release, version 4.14.3, happened on November 28, 2025.
History[edit]
Nash announced UZDoom ("Ultimate ZDoom") in a Doomworld thread as a fork of GZDoom, with the goal to advance the port moving forward but away from the direction of its primary developer, Graf Zahl. Its goals retain the original ideals of GZDoom: legacy content compatibility, whilst also providing new features for creators to utilize.

- Support for modern crossport standards: DEHEXTRA, DSDHacked, MBF21 and UMAPINFO
- Modified defaults as per community feedback
