Ultimate Doom In Name Only (abbreviated as UDINO) is a 36-level megawad for The Ultimate Doom designed for limit removing source ports, created as a result of a community project led by Matt Powell (cannonball) and Darryl Steffen (dobu gabu maru). Development of UDINO began on July 1, 2014, under the direction of Tristan Clark. The goal was to create levels that represented the level names from The Ultimate Doom. On December 5, 2014, Tristan announced that he had lost interest in the project and was vacating his position as project lead. A vote followed and cannonball was chosen as the new project lead. The first version was released on July 7, 2023. The final version was uploaded to the idgames archive on December 6, 2023. It is a prequel to Doom 2 In Name Only.
Ultimate Doom In Name Only was named one of the winners at the 2023 Cacowards.
