From DoomWiki.org

I'm interested in expanding the coverage we have of doom on nintendo ds devices, in particular, the more recent 3DS devices.

DS Doom - the original DS-era port, doesn't cover 3DS

  • does it run on 3DS homebrew?

Doom for Game Boy Advance and Doom II for Game Boy Advance can be played on the original DS or DS lite (but not multiplayer[1])

3DS hardware:

  • 400x240 top screen resolution in 2D mode with optional stereoscopic (?) 3D (=> 800x240)
  • lower screen 320x240, touch
  • 128M RAM
  • 6M VRAM
  • GPU: 268MHz PICA200 GPU
  • additional analog circle pad (over pre-3DS)

new 3ds stuff:

  • additional hardware video decoding
  • 10M VRAM
  • 256M RAM
  • quad core ARM 11 CPU
  • some kind of vector co-processors
  • additional right-side button thing (trackpoint?)
