99 Edits + 1...[edit]

... and this makes it a hundred. Yay! I spend way too much time here this month instead of focusing on my other important projects. Curse you Doom Wiki! (jk) BuildCat (talk) 11:21, 16 June 2018 (CDT)

Fatal NDCP != Tommie Quick?[edit]

I have to question your edits attributing NDCP1/2 maps by 'Fatal' to Tommie Quick, not because I have knowledge about them myself, but because Eris Falling expressly distinguished them as two separate designers. Can you rethink your edits and find out accurate info about them? --Xymph (talk) 10:29, 21 February 2019 (CST)

User:Nuxius made the distinction on multiple occasions, which you can see in the edit histories for the NDCP maps, I don't know for myself (if I did I've since forgotten), but I trust his knowledge. --Eris Falling (talk) 10:51, 21 February 2019 (CST)

Yeah, they are two different people. That's the bad thing about having the same internet handle as someone else; it makes things confusing. If the NewDoom forums were still around, I'd provide links to posts for proof, but unfortunately they aren't, so... Nuxius (talk) 11:23, 21 February 2019 (CST)

Ah, so that's the case. Always assumed those two were the same person. Thanks for the heads up! BuildCat (talk) 17:54, 21 February 2019 (CST)

Russian Community Projects[edit]

Hello there! Thanks a lot for your work in documenting the russian wads on doomworld, many of the links are available now thanks for your searches. Given that recently I've done quite a bit of coverage on notable russian wads, I was wondering if you had more information regarding some of them. For instance, only some of the freak mapping contests were uploaded to idgames - how many were actually made, or are available? Did you end up finding the credits file for Grid 64? Did the ru100lin.zip provided by Memfis have any missing maps? Any information you have regarding these would be very useful, thank you. --Dynamo128 (talk) 19:39, 23 October 2021 (CDT)

Welcome back![edit]

After almost a full year absence, I'm glad to see you have returned. Hope you enjoy the coverage of the Russian WADs that has been done in the meantime. :) --Dynamo128 (talk) 14:41, 13 October 2022 (CDT)

Hey! Thanks for the warm welcome, it's very appreciated :) This is not a real "return" per se, as I only logged in due to getting news about the hack, but I decided to update some links anyway. My affection for this game is very much still there though, so I might be around this wiki occasionally going forward :D By the way, I see that you asked some questions regarding Russian doom mapping. Sorry for not noticing them originally! If you still need answers, I can try digging up my old notes. Just let me know. --BuildCat (talk) 02:08, 17 October 2022 (CDT)

Seconded. One of your main previous activities was to add CP releases to all (well, usually ;-) ) associated mapper pages. Could you catch up on these projects? I asked Death Bear but so far to no avail. Thanks. --Xymph (talk) 06:38, 27 October 2022 (CDT)

Hi Xymph! Sure, I'll look into it eventually. Many new stuff to catch up on :) --BuildCat (talk) 03:28, 30 October 2022 (CDT)

Your recent edit on Jimmy's wiki page[edit]

Hi. Sorry to intrude on your turf, especially since I somehow don't feel entirely qualified to address this, but I rejected the recent change you made here on the grounds of not finding proof of Jimmy having done anything for myhouse.wad/.pk3 after investigating the files in SLADE. Nothing within either file itself or in the respective readme mentions Jimmy in the slightest, which leads me to believe that your edit was made in error. With that, I'd like to ask you if you can confirm in any way that Jimmy did contribute towards the project? I'd be happy to hear you out and admit my own mistake if you have any proof to show. --MF38 (talk) 08:22, 19 April 2023 (CDT)

Hi. I did cite the source for my claim in the main My House page. It's a recent development, and the credits were scrambled in an anagram that was confirmed by Essel in the thread. Hope that clear things up. --BuildCat (talk) 09:54, 19 April 2023 (CDT)
My bad in that case, clearly I didn't investigate enough. Looks like Gregor already reverted the edit. Thanks. --MF38 (talk) 10:31, 19 April 2023 (CDT)
