From DoomWiki.org

From Doom Wiki:Policies and guidelines, "article titles and subheadings should be capitalized "Foo bar baz" rather than "Foo Bar Baz" (words should only begin with a capital letter if they are proper nouns)."

The idea behind this is to make it consistent with Wikipedia (some of us have gotten used to it), and I also think it looks better :) - Fredrik 15:35, 9 Jan 2005 (PST)

You can't do too much. It doesn't matter much if you are disorganized, either. It is easier to rearrange content than to write it. Fredrik 15:47, 9 Jan 2005 (PST)

Could you give images a bit more informative file names than "DOOM0003.png"? "Romero_head.png" would do. Could you please rename it and upload it again with that filename? Also, add "{{screenshot}}" to the image description page. Thanks :) Fredrik 18:58, 9 Jan 2005 (PST)

I'd recommend against uploading sounds from the game, for the same reason (copyright) raw graphics shouldn't be used. You could host it on your own website and put up an external link, though. Fredrik 19:09, 9 Jan 2005 (PST)

It is better to list missing articles on the category page than to create empty articles with nothing but a category tag in them. Red links tempt people to write articles (and make it possible to tell what needs to be written without visiting every page). Fredrik 14:42, 10 Jan 2005 (PST)

Disambig. of map numbers[edit]

Do you really think that the article "E1M1", for example, should be in Category:E1M1?  I know it makes sense semantically, but clicking on "E1M1" from the category page just leads you to a redirect to the category page, which is silly.    Ryan W 01:30, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

The fact that we're using the category pages as disambiguation pages makes it clumsy, even if the names "E3M2", etc., by themselves suggest that they should be in those categories.  I say we just turn the "E3M2"/"MAP17" pages into redirects to the Ultimate Doom and Doom II maps — that's surely what almost all the readers will be looking for, and if not, then one more click gets them to the disambiguation page.    Ryan W 07:24, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

hmm okay we could do that, make them redirects to either the original ones, or to the category page itself. --Insertwackynamehere 20:44, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
The second way is how we're doing it now.   Ryan W 22:01, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
heh I meant a hard redirect (automatic) not a link, but i'm fine with it redirecting to the defaults. actually i think that makes more sense, thinking about it, so you can change that if you want.--Insertwackynamehere 03:03, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Template:Code[edit]

What was this intended for?    Ryan W 20:13, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey.[edit]

Why do you want Bella 2 deleted? You haven't yet posted your reasons on the talk page, so I'm removing the {{delete}} template until you post reasons. oTHErONE (Contribs) 09:26, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
