resized titlepic images[edit]

Hi. I was wondering why you resized all of the title screen images to be stretched vertically. 320x200 is the size of the original images in the .WAD files, so why would they be 320x240? -Hendricks266 20:44, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

They were designed for the 4:3 aspect ratio, not 16:10 as they are stored in. Although the resolution in-game is 320x200, the monitor itself stretches the image vertically, and all the Doom artwork was drawn to take this into account; displaying the images as 320x240 on Doom Wiki provides a more accurate representation of how it looks in-game. --Chungy 23:20, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

"Dumb"[edit]

I do make writing mistakes sometimes but would prefer not to be referred to as "dumb," thanks for minding this in the future. --Quasar (talk) 14:37, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

It wasn't meant as a personal attack on anyone (actually I was pretty sure I wrote that sentence before), but I'll try to avoid using such words. Thanks :) --Chungy (talk) 22:02, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
Yeah I was a cranky fucker this morning, no hard feelings :V --Quasar (talk) 02:36, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

MAP25 already existed[edit]

When uploading new files, please be careful not to overwrite an unrelated existing one. That took quite a bit of clean-up. ;) --Xymph (talk) 02:55, 11 March 2017 (CST)
