VooDoo Guns is a two-map Doom II WAD for MBF-compatible source ports by Alexander S. (Eternal). The WAD must be played in complevel 11 and requires an MBF-compatible OpenGL port with support of hi-res textures, MUSINFO lump, tall patches, and OGG format music. The levels are themed around a fusion of the steampunk and wild west aesthetics and are known for their striking visuals and exploration-based gameplay.

Custom monsters[edit]

This mapset utilizes DeHackEd to create several custom monsters. None of the monsters are named in the DeHackEd file or the game's accompanying text file.

A small black flying monster with 60 hit points that fires a projectile attack and replaces the pain elemental. There is a translucent variant of this monster with slightly more health (80 hp) that replaces the cacodemon and the lost soul. There is no difference between the two translucent versions. This monster was taken from the Realm 667 repository of custom assets.
A doppelganger of the player, this fast and mysterious outlaw has 100 hit points and utilizes a hitscan attack. It replaces the Wolfenstein SS.
Dark cyberdemon
A darker variant of the cyberdemon that replaces the spiderdemon. This monster has 6000 hit points and shoots a flurry of mancubus fireballs along with three revenant missiles, in addition to the cyberdemon's default three-missile attack.
Suicidal demons
MAP01 features variants of the demon and spectre that die when trying to attack the player. These monsters do not count towards the kill count. Both types of suicidal demons have 150 hp.

In addition to the custom monsters listed above, the demon, zombieman, shotgun guy and heavy weapon dude are all reskinned with new sprites but function identically to their Doom II counterparts. Also, the demon spawner is reworked to spawn non-violent black wraiths that wander around the level.

Custom weapons[edit]

This mapset contains two custom weapons that function identically to their base game counterparts but feature new sprites and have new names defined in the DeHackEd file.

The nailgun replaces the plasma gun, firing nails instead of plasma.
Voodoo gun
The voodoo gun replaces the BFG9000 which it is identical to, save for a new custom sprite for the gun.
