WadGadget is a WAD editor for Unix-like systems developed by Simon Howard (Fraggle) using the curses library.
WadGadget's current target is Unix-like operating systems, which includes Apple's macOS. It does not yet run on Microsoft Windows, with a port being a future goal.

- Editing of texture and PNAMES directories
- Copying between WADs, and importing/exporting from files
- Support for the lump formats for: graphics, flats, sound effects, MUS, palette and colormaps, and Heretic/Hexen graphic formats
- Suport for a variety of file formats: PNG, WAV, VOC, FLAC, MID
- Using Sixel, allows graphics to be viewed in terminals that support it
- Use of hypertext help system with documentation, and copies of technical references (Unofficial Doom Specs, Hexen Specs, Boom and MBF References).
