Wouter van Oortmerssen (alias Aardappel and Aard) is Doom programmer and level designer who contributed to several community projects. He is best known for being one of the original founders of the Freedoom project and for his Doom editor WadC. He would later go on to spearhead the video game Cube and its sequel, Cube 2, which are heavily influenced by Doom.
